Project Info:

British neo noir thriller - with a feminist twist - a hitman becomes the target in a game he didn't know he was playing.

Adapted from a graphic novel by Scottish artist, David Taylor, To A Cinder is about a man with a saviour complex, who is anything but, and a caution for us all to be aware that what we beleive we are witnessing may not be everything it seems to be.

There are always at least two sides to every story

In Association with Film Earls Court, Bloody Rascal Films and Scriptwriter/Director Henry Scriven - THE FOX (2018), PUSH (2017), HOW TO BECOME A CRIMINAL MASTERMIND (2012)

Featuring on screen, Olivier award-winning actor Elliot Warren in his first lead role, whose other work includes roles in Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN, the HETV series MASTERS OF THE AIR, and A THOUSAND BLOWS. In a supporting role, we have Alessandro Babalola, who was a breakout from Netflix series TOP BOY, and Guy Ritchie's WRATH OF MAN. Our female lead is Rosalind Halstead, known for her roles in THE TRIAL OF CHRISTINE KEELER, DOMINION and NEARLY FAMOUS, and we have Bill Ward - a familiar face from UK TV Soaps EMMERDALE and CORONATION STREET, but more recently in Channel 4 Euro-noir mini series BEFORE WE DIE and the Netflix series AFTER LIFE.

Pulling in positive references and reviews from the outset, "...very Shrader-esque." (Sales Agent) "starts out a bit like Hitchcock's REAR WINDOW... evolves into the realm of SHALLOW GRAVE and WILD THINGS" (Film and TV Now). To A Cinder embarked on its UK Festival Campaign at the start of 2023 - was official selection at London Independent Film Festival in April 2023, winning the Debut Film Award - and nominated for Best Feature at Kingston International Film Festival.
